THE BEST SIDE OF FREMANTLE PRISON

Fremantle Prison is surrounded by limestone perimeter walls, whilst a two-storey limestone gatehouse, that has a central clock, offers an imposing entrance. North and south from the gatehouse, over the Terrace, are a number of cottages and houses – a few of which can be in-built Victorian fashion in distinction on the Georgian type of the others.
